Att sitta i soffan en lördag morgon och slötitta på Scooby Doo med döttrarna, det är livet.

Our good friends from Val d’Isère are in Sweden. Like us they spend the summer here. Nell has been waiting so long, a whole year, to see Leo again, so imagine how thrilled she was the day before yesterday when they met up at the swimming pool. And last night we went to their town to see them, and to hear his mum, Karen, play together with Mike at the pub/restaurant Bodega. Karen is Australian, mike Scottish, me and Uffe swedes, and our kids a mix.

Since we got home quite late last night, we have done nothing today. Well, nothing and nothing… I’ve been working. And late afternoon we went for a bike ride to the playground.

Well, the sun has abandon us. Is it for ever? Hope not! We will, however, get a lot of rain today and tomorrow. Since we came back, I think we have had 5 or 6 sunny days! It can only get better, because it sure can’t get any worse.

But even if it’s bad weather, the dog has to go out. So I took the dog and put some good music in my ears and left. The rain hit me in the face, the wind pushed me forward, or backwards, but I didn’t care. I danced away on the beach. No one saw me, because it was only me and my dog out.

Then Nell wanted to go out and pick some flowers…

…so we did. 🙂
Well, we Swedes never stop believing, so we are sure the sun will arrive. Eventually.

It’s been a while. We have done loads of stuff. Last Thursday Nell and I went to Liseberg, a big amusement park in Gothenburg. That was a huge success!
Nell did, however, get a big scare when I took her up in a big roller coaster… She cried the whole way around. I wasn’t that proud of myself. I should have understood that she was too little still and not that tough. Well, I got my punishment afterwards when I did the even bigger roller coaster and thought my life was about to get to an end …

Yesterday it was the big holiday Midsommar. Sadly enough it rained, so the dance around the ”tree” was more or less cancelled. But we had a nice dinner with good friends.

Yes, Miss Sunshine got a new, bigger bicycle today. The guy at the store asked me if I had a man at home who could put it together, since it wasn’t completely assembled. I thought he was kidding, but then realized he wasn’t… Well, old habits are hard to break, I guess. 😉 However, we didn’t have any problems of screwing it together. 🙂

Of course you need a weather report. Well, we have had rainy days. And rainy days. And grey days. And rainy days. But today it has been sunny! And 20 degrees.

Well, this blog hasn’t been updated for a looong time, but since I do have some friends who doesn’t speak any Swedish (strange, I know, but they do exist…), and they really wanted to read and understand my other blog, I thought I just give a go here again. Again it will be mainly photos. I am not that used to write long blog posts in English… So, here we go. 🙂 I start with a squirrel that said hello to me yesterday morning at Katrinebergs folkhögskola, the school in which I attend a writer’s course for four days.
